On May 10, 2021, a federal judge in the Tampa Division of the U.S. Middle District of Florida granted conditional certification to a collective action lawsuit brought by certain former employees of a freight logistics company called FreightCenter, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that FreightCenter, along with Matthew Brosious, Ali Choiniere, Amy Van Ness, and Jamie Smith, misclassified Logistics Account Managers and Carrier Sales Representatives as exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”). The lawsuit seeks, among other relief, unpaid overtime, liquidated damages, and attorneys’ fees and cost.

The court authorized Premier Litigators to send out approved notices to certain current and former employees of FreightCenter, Inc.
